4iP is a significant new investment initiative from Channel 4 which aims to reinvent public service media in the digital age.

Channel 4, working with a range of co-investment partners, has up to £50m to invest in great ideas for web, mobile and games platforms which will improve people¹s lives. Those ideas can come from individuals, partnerships, small and medium companies and social enterprises from a range of creative and technical disciplines.

Here’s a quick interview we conducted with Claire and Lucy of 4iP that discusses some of the initiatives of the company.

The 4iP led workshop at May You Live in Interesting Times considered how public value media content can be delivered without being worthy! It explored how new technologies can be employed to solve social problems in ways which are edgy, compelling, risk-taking, innovative and fun!
